In the past few weeks building up to our one year landmark, I’ve debated whether to celebrate it at all. Simply because in the grand scheme of things, the world doesn’t particularly care and nor should it. But it’s important that I say thank you to everybody who has supported Fulham Focus over the past year because it doesn’t go unnoticed.
What started out as a little idea in my head, didn’t even have a name until my wife suggested Fulham Focus. So I guess she is the mastermind behind the whole thing and I’m just the goafer! But to see how it’s grown into the website it is, now makes me very proud and I am very grateful to all of you.
Thank you to the whole team, each and every one of them including those no longer in the setup have always contributed voluntarily and I’m very grateful for that. Everything is done for the love of Fulham and that’s a sentiment we will always value highest when it comes to Focus in the future.
Thank you to everybody who has agreed to do a Q&A. Over 70 have been conducted so far and not a single person has asked for a penny to give up their time. In fact, nobody has said no yet which says a lot about the Fulham family we are so proud of as a club. It’s been an honour to speak to all of them, and I know that the Q&A series is the part of Fulham Focus that my Grandad would be very proud of, and without him, I wouldn’t have any reason to support Fulham. So cheers Grandad!
Thanks to the players of 2017/18 and to Slavisa for making Fulham Focus’ debut season a very memorable one. It’s pure coincidence that our unbeaten run started the month after we launched but what a time to release a new website and podcast!
I have no desire to turn this into a career and the only glory that comes out of it is that it’s fun. After all, it’s not a bad hobby Focusing on Fulham, so as long as it remains fun, we will continue to run with it.
All the best,
DB
