We spoke to Harry from The Wolves 77 Club Podcast to get a home fans perspective ahead of Sunday’s match at Molineux…

Wolves vs Fulham: What’s the first thing that comes to mind?

The first thing that comes to mind is this is a must win for Wolves! No disrespect to Fulham but after seeing our neighbours Villa beat you 3-0 at your place we must be looking for all 3 points.

What are your expectations for this season?

Our expectations for this season are to improve on the last two seasons of back to back 7th place finishes. No europa league football should help us try and brake that top 6 aslong as the new boys can gel into our system sooner rather than later.

Do you think the club will be content with finishing 7th consistently or will Nuno Espírito Santo eventually come under pressure if you don’t start breaking into the top six?

I think we will be content yes becuase we are 1 year ahead of Fosuns plan as we got promoted a year early! But with their plans to get us challenging for the premier league title within 10 years you’d feel if Nuno doesn’t get us into that top 6 in the next few seasons the pressure from the owners may start to be felt.

Are you happy with your transfer activity so far, which areas still need attention before the window shuts?

Not too happy, no. After losing Doherty and Jota this window who have been a huge part of our starting 11 since Nuno has took over, the replacements don’t seem the best from first viewing.

Nelson Semedo looks a talent but his defensive game looks fairly weak which is worrying considering we paid around 36 million for him.

Fabio Silva is only 18 years of age so has alot of improving to do before he is at the level the 35m we paid for him requires. We still need a center half and a midfielder most fans think but with Nuno loving to work with a small sqaud we doubt we’ll see anymore players come in this window.

We both got promoted in the same season. How has it gone so right for you?

The reason it has gone so right for us is because when we got promoted we already had quality premier league players in our squad. Neves, Jota, Boly and Doherty spring to mind and we then added quality with Raul Jimenez, Moutinho and Rui Patricio for the extra quality! We didn’t change the way we played and just did not fear anybody. Under the likes of Mick McCarthy in the late 00s and Dave jones in 2003 we played to survive and reach that 40 point mark. With Nuno we all knew that was never the plan.

What are your top 4 and bottom 3 predictions this season?

Top Four: Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Chelsea.

Bottom Three: West Brom, Burnley, Fulham.

How do you see the game panning out?

I see Wolves having alot of the ball and trying to break you guys down. We famously struggle to breal the so called weaker teams down so hopefully we can get a early goal to get you guys out of your shell which results in us hitting you on the counter and hopefully adding some goals!

Wolves 3-0 Fulham.
