We spoke to Cardiff City supporter Owen Deacon from the Three Little Birds fan page to get the away sides perspective ahead of tonight’s game…

Fulham vs Cardiff: what’s the first thing that comes to mind from years gone by?

Usually a great contest between two evenly-matched teams. Hopefully we’re in for another treat.

How good of a job has Neil Harris done since taking over?

Neil Harris has been like a breath of fresh air since joining. Doing a great job at implementing a better style of play.

Who’s been your standout player so far this campaign?

Our standout player this season has got to be Lee Tomlin. He’s been incredible, however, he’s been reduced to sub appearances recently because he’s been badly injured.

Bobby Reid has been fairly average since signing for us last summer. How would you rate his time at Cardiff, and given the choice, would you have wanted him to stay?

Decordova-Reid showed glimpses of being a great player, however, never really seemed to fit our style of play under Warnock. Definitely would’ve liked him to stay, but his attitude about leaving was poor.

Do you feel Neil Warnock could scupper your chances of the playoffs when you play Middlesbrough in their last home game of the season?

Warnock is doing a decent job so far with Middlesbrough but I think without his own signings, we should beat them comfortably.

If you were to achieve promotion through the playoffs, how far away do you think your current squad is from being Premier League ready?

If we win promotion I think that we’ll definitely need a new right-back and a striker. It would be even harder with our budget since Covid-19 has hit.

How do you see the game going?

I think that the game will finish 1-1 or could see it tipping either side. Either way it’ll be a close contest, I’m sure.

Predicted line-up: 4-3-3

Smithies; Sanderson, Morrison (c), Nelson, Bennett; Vaulks, Bacuna, Ralls; Mendez-Laing, Murphy, Glatzel.
