Les Strong is the “greatest right-footed left back of his era” according to the late Dennis Turner. A description that’s clearly a light hearted gesture of sarcasm which makes it such a fitting one. No one can fault Les’ sense of humour, nor his loyalty to Fulham throughout his career, making over 370 appearances for the club.
