John Collins signed for Fulham in July 2000 and went onto have a successful career in SW6, staying until his retirement in 2003. The Scotsman made 79 appearances for the club and played a vital role on and off the pitch, helping Jean Tigana to introduce ‘total football’ to the Banks of the Thames, having known the Frenchman from their time at Monaco.
